. . . well, here we are back at Felixstowe, after our three nights in sunny Newark - well, it was sunny when we left this morning!
In fact, we had an amazing time - I couldn't believe how many people came up and said, "We watch it!" Some (poor souls) actually said they'd been watching it since programme one, which is going back into the dim and distant now - October 2006.
We had about 10 caravans and motorhomes belonging to forum members on the show site, as well as the stand itself, and I think a cheery time was had by all - it was only a bit sad when the rain fell all night on Saturday, after the show closed, and then it rained on Sunday morning, which really sliced back the attendence.
However, I was delighted that Russ and Neil, the organisers, said they had no problems with the outcome of the show - they told me that many exhibitors had achieved really good results, considering the weather, and they were already looking at ways of getting together a bigger, better show for 2009 . . .

First night of the year . . .
Had our first night in a caravan for this year, on Wednesday.
We took out a little Teardrop trailer, a Turtle 1200, from the importer, down in Uckfield in Surrey, and rambled over to Amberley Fields, just beside Gatwick, for the night. It was amazing!
The little trailer has just enough space inside for a 4ft wide double, while the back opens to a surprisingly large kitchen and storage space, with a fridge, water container and portapotti! It also came with a 3m x 2m gazebo, specially modified to fit the side of the van. Inside, the importer, Terry Smith, had fitted 2 greenhouse-style heaters; one we switched off as soon as we got into bed, the other went off at about 2 am when we woke up, too hot!
Excellent!
